With the ice and snow came a forced break for me. Instead of moving too fast I was forced to move in slow motion. The end result is a rebirth of ideas for our program LIFT.  Hence forth the title Ice Dreaming.

• Gotta move more students to the website juniorhighlift.org to use the media player and get their parents in on the e-newsletter.
• We need great content on that site for students and great uses for it.  That’s not exactly rocket science but it has led to simple stuff like the following:  Let students create the next piece of LIFT swag (aka T-shirt) then let it be voted on the site.  Do our next film festival online for voting.  Put more downloads that can be printed out and used at LIFT (aka coupons, free shirts, or materials).
• I want to offer an after service Q and A opportunity to dive a little more into what we just said, kinda like Oprah after the show. (yes I have seen it). It may not be for everyone, but it can be during their group time.
• How many more Ice Storms will it take for the east coast and mid-west to upgrade their lines or do something radical to the power grid. Some say it costs too much money. Really, does it cost as much as the recovery effort twice this year, involving the man hours from 4 states.
